Requirements
To use Motra, you need an Apple Watch with the Motra Watch app installed and up to date. Make sure your Apple Watch is paired with your iPhone before starting your first workout.
Starting a Workout
Empty Workouts
To begin an empty workout:
Start a workout on either your Apple Watch or iPhone. Your session will sync and mirror on both devices.
For auto-detected exercises, simply start exercising, and you’ll see automatic rep and weight detection on your watch. After completing an exercise, confirm the sets and adjust the weight if necessary.
The exercise will then be logged. On your mobile device, you can review the workout details or swipe down from the main watch display to view the exercise log.
If you'd like to add an exercise that is not auto-detected, tap the Add (+) button and select the desired exercise on either your iPhone or Apple Watch.
Template Workouts
For template workouts:
Select the desired template and start performing the exercises.
You can turn Guide Mode on or off to assist with the next set.
Once you’ve finished a workout:
Swipe left on the watch interface or tap the … on your mobile editor to end the session.
If you completed a templated workout, you’ll have the option to update the template based on the session you just completed.
Tips for Accurate Auto-Detection
Reps for Auto-Detection: To ensure accurate detection, perform a minimum of 3 reps per exercise. While you can adjust the detection threshold, we recommend keeping it at 3 for optimal accuracy.
Use proper form with real weights. Motra's Neural Kinetic Profiling™ detects actual movement patterns. Performing exercises without weights (e.g., air curls) may cause detection to fail.
Apple Watch Orientation: Check your Apple Watch's Digital Crown orientation settings. If the orientation is set incorrectly, the motion data will be captured inaccurately, resulting in erroneous detection.
